CREATIVE MAGIC
Painting
This is the painting section. I hope you like these ideas and feel happy when painting. These ideas are different to the drawing ideas. If you can't find an idea you like you can use one of the drawing ideas and instead of drawing it you would paint it or find ideas on Google and Pinterest. If you don't know what colour to use in your painting please see the 'colour wheel' section at the top of the 'colours page/subheading.' The 'colour wheel' will help you because I have explained some strategies you can use to find what colour to use. The 'colour page' is also really helpful because it explains what 'Pantone is, has questions and has a list of keywords and definitions. So that you can find out and know what different terms and keywords mean if you haven't heard them before.'

Types of paint
There are three types of paint. Acrylic, watercolour and oil paint. Acrylic paint is like your standard type of paint while watercolour paint is more watery and used for spring paintings of flowers. Acrylic paint is used for larger paintings because the paint is thick and for paintings where you want the paint to pop, and look bright happy and colourful. For using watercolour paint you can get these brushes where you put water in to help you paint since you need water. These brushes might be pretty helpful. You can get a beginner how-to watercolour kit where it teaches you all the basics of watercolour painting. You might even want to consider getting a kit for kids since they might be more beneficial and easier in the way that they tell you how to paint. They might also give you painting ideas and how to paint them. One of the watercolour sets I like is this one by Kidstuff.
Note: The photo of the watercolour set is this photo here.

Why use complementary colours in painting :
-
Creates bright paintings that pop and look good
-
Vincent Van Gogh liked using complementary colours. He wanted to use a lot of blues and oranges in his painting.
-
2 complementary colours make dark colours like grey in your painting. When people look at your painting it won't look to mix too much colour together as it can cause the colour in the painting to go a dirty dark brown colour that you might not like or the person looking at it might not like. The painting may make you feel a bit dull and slowed down as in tired because the colour doesn't pop out.
